Just as some background, Rod invited State Rep. Brad Halbrook (R-Shelbyville) instead of State Rep. Carol Ammons or State Sen. Scott Bennett – you know, the ones who actually represent Champaign-Urbana.

Anyway Halbrook wants to secede from Chicago, probably the most hilariously bad political position of any downstate politician.
